Welcome to the Republic of Bosqunia! Since September 26, 2024, we have been a semi-sovereign Micronation within Turkish territory, without any serious claim to independence.
The Republic of Bosqunia, or simply Bosqunia, was founded by our founder Omer Faruk C. one day after the official dissolution of the Republic of Manu on September 25, 2024. From that day to the present, our State has continued its existence with 4 administrative regions and citizens.
Although we are a small, semi-sovereign nation that does not claim independence, our aim is to show Turkiye that micro-nationalism is not a separatist movement and to become a recognized Micronation in the world.
What is the Micronation ?
Micronations are entities, usually formed by individuals or small communities, that declare themselves independent states but are not officially recognized internationally. These structures may mimic elements of real countries, such as flags, constitutions, currencies, citizenship systems, and even diplomatic relations.
Micronations are often formed for entertainment, hobbies, artistic expression, political thought, or to convey a social message. Some exist entirely in the digital realm, while others may claim rights to a physical territory.
Unlike formal states, micronations lack legal standing under international law because they are not recognized by other countries. Nevertheless, they can establish their own rules, grant citizenship, and forge their own identities.
Today, micronations have become more visible thanks to the internet and have transformed into creative projects that attract the attention of many people worldwide.
The Principality of Sealand is one of the best-known micronations in the world.
